This extra-affordable drone can sense nearby objects through infrared and automatically move away from them. While this doesn't make this a foolproof toy, it should help avoid bopped fingers or heads to a degree; if you set your hand under the drone it will automatically rise. Two spare rotors are also included, but let's hope you won't need to use them for a while.

Star Wars Maker Lab: 20 Craft and Science Projects

Guide your little sci-fi fan into science and STEAM endeavors with these "experiments" and crafts to introduce magnetism, crystalization, chemistry, physics and more. The ingredients for just about any of these experiments will run you more than the cost of the book itself, so I would recommend either pairing it with another book or with the materials for one of the crafts within.

Hasbro The Child Animatronic Edition

This animatronic might not be anywhere as advanced as the one being used on set right now to film Season 3 of the Mandalorian, but it's still an adorable addition to any Star Wars collection with its moving ears, eyes, hands and head. It reacts to touches in certain areas and mimics scenes and actions from the show's first season.  

Star Wars: The High Republic books

There are some amazing new books in the Star Wars universe, all published over the last two years. As the name suggests, this series takes place way before the Empire or the Skywalker family and shows what the galaxy was like when Jedi were many. This series of books tells a lot of stories all at once, and can be enjoyed at any age. There are audioplays exclusive to Audible, graphic novels for every audience and a collection of great novels to choose from. If you have a Star Wars fan in your life, any book from this series would be a real treat. 

Star Wars Year by Year: A Visual History

This hefty coffee table book will take you through the full timeline of releases, developments, and lore since the inception of Star Wars in 1973 up to 2021. There's even a section detailing the influences and culture during George Lucas's youth and his inspirations that eventually spawned one of the most popular sci-fi franchises in the world. (And if you want a copy to peruse for yourself, the Kindle edition is only $3.)

Star Wars: The Jedi Mind: Secrets from the Force for Balance and Peace

While there may not be lightsabers or midi-chlorians on Earth, nothing says we can't take the philosophical and meditative aspects of the Jedi Code and use them to calm our minds and strengthen our wills. This short hardcover book focuses on self-care, mindfulness, and introspection to help you avoid the dark side and find peace.

The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia

Move over Encyclopedia Britannica; this three-volume set of Star Wars encyclopedias can help you and your family answer just about every question you could have on the history and terminology of force-users, imperials, rebels, outlaws, and every planet they inhabit. This set is from 2008, so it only covers the original and prequel trilogies, but depending on the fan, nothing might exist after those, anyway.

The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1

Star Wars has an entire set of artbooks matched in size and quality for various Star Wars properties, including a volume for each set of The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Solo, Galaxy's Edge, Star Wars Visions, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, but the art of Season 1 for the Mandalorian is just breathtaking.
