AI-driven automation at UiPath FORWARD 2024 - SiliconANGLE

The future looks bright for UiPath, with the company’s second-quarter results surpassing Wall Street’s expectations after a disruption earlier this year. As a leader in AI-driven automation, the company continues to refine its technologies to stay ahead.

While investors may be concerned that generative artificial intelligence newcomers and tech giants could disrupt UiPath’s technology, Dave Vellante, chief analyst at theCUBE Research, noted in an article that UiPath has a more complete offering than investors and prospective customers realize.

“In the long run, AI will be a tailwind for companies that can apply machine intelligence to end-to-end automation,” he said. “In the near term, customers may feel it’s easier to do full automation with gen AI, but I think they’ll find they need deeper relationships and tech to actually realize significant value. In the meantime, firms like UiPath have to educate customers on how gen AI combined with end-to-end automation can be achieved.”

The UiPath FORWARD 2024 event, which takes place Oct. 21-24, will provide a stand-out opportunity for the company to showcase its growing automation innovations. This year’s event will feature “AI speakers and doers” who will share insights, best practices and ideas on how enterprises can apply automation transformation capabilities, according to the company. Analysts from theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, will be live on the set, hosting exclusive interviews with industry thought leaders and automation experts. (* Disclosure below.)

Enhancing and refining AI-driven automation capabilities

UiPath, a market leader in robotic process automation software, offers AI-driven tools that help businesses cut costs and reduce errors by automating repetitive tasks such as data entry. Its platform learns from how employees interact with business applications to enhance workflow efficiency. Building on its existing capabilities, UiPath has steadily expanded its platform with innovations designed to drive even greater AI-driven automation and efficiency.

The company unveiled its Autopilot tool last year at its FORWARD VI event. This innovation enhanced the company’s business automation platform by integrating several new features, including generative artificial intelligence, specialized AI and automation capabilities that use natural language to simplify the automation of virtually any business task.

“UiPath is an automation leader that is entering a new phase of opportunity, commented Vellante. “The company entered the robotics process automation market more than a decade ago, and through a series of acquisitions and organic development, evolved its stack to focus on end-to-end automation.”

At its AI Summit in March, UiPath again announced several enhancements to its business automation platform. For example, it added context grounding to its UiPath AI Trust Layer, according to an article written by Graham Sheldon, chief product officer at UiPath. The company also unveiled new generative AI connectors to help companies use their best-fit AI models and apply them to automation across the UiPath platform, Graham noted, adding that UiPath Autopilot for developers and testers was slated for general availability in June.

“The gen AI wave hit, and UiPath is again evolving to be a leader in agentic systems,” Vellante said. “I’m personally really excited to hear the company’s vision as to how it will participate in this new opportunity at this year’s UiPath Forward + Tech Ed 24 conference.”
