Amplitude unveils simplified platform to streamline user experience and data collection

Behavior-tracking software firm Amplitude Inc. today launched a new, simplified platform experience designed to make it easier for users to get started with the company’s products.

Called Amplitude Made Easy, the new platform introduces new capabilities and a revamped user experience that “removes the heavy lifting” to allow teams to turn customer understanding into a better product experience quickly.

The first new feature, Autocapture, simplifies the setup process for Amplitude users by significantly reducing the time and technical expertise required to begin collecting data. Previously, the company says, teams have needed weeks of engineering effort to establish data pipelines and event instrumentation. Now, with just one line of code via a software development kit, it says, users can instantly capture every click, swipe and page view on their website or application.

Autocapture also allows teams to automatically populate baseline metrics and dashboards, making the process easier by measuring key events and gaining insights right from the start.

The next new feature, Out-of-the-box Insights, has been created to transform the way teams interact with their data. Traditionally, understanding data required building custom dashboards and charts, often a time-consuming and complex task.

Wiith the new feature, Amplitude now provides instant real-time insights without the need for manual configuration. It automatically surfaces crucial information on campaign performance, conversion rates, retention and feature engagement to allow teams to make data-driven decisions quickly.

Ask Amplitude, the third announcement today, is a tool that leverages generative artificial intelligence to provide users with answers to queries in plain English. The feature goes beyond simple text responses by visualizing data, offering actionable recommendations and building on past interactions to ensure the information is accurate and relevant.

Amplitude notes that by simplifying the data query process, Ask Amplitude empowers users of all technical levels to engage with their data meaningfully and make informed decisions without needing deep analytical expertise.

Finally, Amplitude’s new Template Gallery offers a practical solution for teams looking to optimize their analytics workflows. Instead of spending hours determining what to measure and how to structure their data visualizations, users can now choose from templates that cover popular use cases such as retention, product-led growth and campaign performance, enabling them to quickly implement best practices and gain actionable insights with minimal effort.

“We’ve rebuilt our platform from top to bottom to make Amplitude approachable for anyone,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Spenser Skates. “This is one of the most ambitious projects we’ve taken on as a company, but we believe radical simplicity is the key to Amplitude becoming a daily habit for every customer.”

Amplitude was previously in the news in August when it announced a number of new data-related services for its Digital Analytics platform that enhance data synchronization, security and privacy management capabilities.
