Angel Gomes 'set to attract offers from multiple Premier League clubs'

Several Premier League and European clubs are believed to hold an interest in Lille and England midfielder Angel Gomes.

The 24-year-old was handed his Three Lions debut by interim head coach Lee Carsley earlier this month.

Gomes has entered the last year of his contract at Lille and he will be free to sign a pre-contract with other clubs from January 1, if he decides not to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Ligue 1 club.

And the French side are now prepared for an influx of incoming offers from interested parties across Europe, according to the Telegraph.

Several of Europe's top clubs are beleived to be intereted in England midfielder Angel Gomes

After the sale of Leny Yoro to United for £52million in the summer, it has been reported that Lille could be tempted to cash in on Gomes in January, rather than let him leave for free next year.

The midfielder started his career in England at United, joining the 20-time English champions at the age of just six.

However, three years after making his senior debut at Old Trafford at just 16 years of age in 2017, the talented midfielder left his boyhood club for a move to France.

Gomes' influence at Lille in his four years at the club, in which he has contributed to 27 goals, has attracted interest from clubs within his home nation.

The Sun previously reported that Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Tottenham, could all be in a battle for the five-foot-six player.

However, back in 2022, Gomes made it clear that he would be keen on a move back to Old Trafford if the situation arose.

'Do I imagine myself coming back one day? Obviously, it's home,' Gomes told French outlet L'Equipe.

'I would love to come back. But you never know in football. I just have to keep my feet on the ground, and keep playing, making the most of it. I can't predict what will happen in the future.'
