Antony 'to be offered way out of Man United nightmare via Fenerbahce'

Fenerbahce are planning a shock loan move for Manchester United man Antony, according to reports in Turkey.

The summer transfer window may have come and gone for teams in England, but it remains open in various other locations around the world, including Turkey, where Fenerbahce are based.

Teams in the country can complete deals up until September 13, meaning a number of Premier League clubs could still lose some of their players in the coming days.

One of those clubs could be Manchester United, with Sport Witness suggesting via reports in Turkey that Fenerbahce, managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho, are keen to end Antony's Old Trafford nightmare - at least temporarily.

According to the report, the club are looking to complete a deal as early as Wednesday eveing, which is believed to be a potential loan agreement.

Antony could be offered a way out of his Manchester United nightmare via Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce, who are managed by Jose Mourinho, are able to make moves until September 13, when the transfer window closes in the country

United man Antony has struggled for game time at Old Trafford, playing just one minutes so far this season

Antony joined United for £85.5million two years ago, but has failed to settle at Old Trafford, playing just one minute so far in the Premier League this campaign.

He has found himself behind the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo in the pecking order, though Jadon Sancho has now left the club.

In total, he has played 83 times for the Red Devils during his Old Trafford career, scoring 11 goals.

Before his move, however, he had impressed for Ajax - much of that under Erik ten Hag - leading to the Dutchman signing his former star at Old Trafford.

A move could provide the chance for the Brazilian to revitalise his career, and Mourinho's Fenerbahce could be the opportune place for that to happen.

This summer, the Turkish side have signed the likes of Youssef En-Nesyri, Caglar Soyuncu and Allan Saint-Maximin as they look to improve on last season's second place finish in the Turkish Super Lig.

So far this year, they have won three of their four matches under Mourinho, who took over in the summer, and are top of the league by one point, though both Galatasaray and Besiktas - who are second and third - have a game in hand over them.

Former Premier League man Dusan Tadic has been playing on the right for the club so far this season, and scored twice last time out in his side's 3-0 win over Alanyaspor.

United could also offload midfielder Casemiro (pictured) who is reported to be of intetest to Galatasaray

According to ESPN, meanwhile, Casemiro is on Galatasaray's shortlist of midfield targets, with the Turkish club still keen to do business before their deadline.

Victor Osimhen has all but joined on loan from Napoli, and was mobbed by supporters as he arrived in the country to complete his move.

United have been open to selling 32-year-old Casemiro all summer, but did not receive significant interest from Saudi Arabia.

He was slammed by the likes of Jamie Carragher on Sunday after playing a key role in the Red Devils' 3-0 defeat by Liverpool, at fault for the first two goals before being substituted at half time.
