Not so nice weather
Is summer now over?
The weather has been fantastic of late as August comes to a close, but the sun is hiding today.
The Emirates is rather gloomy and grey today, and it doesn't look like that is going to change throughout the day.
I have one word to describe the weather... rubbish.
Nine on the bounce?
Arsenal have been in serious form in 2024.
They have lost just once in the Premier League and have won 18 top-flight fixtures.
Not bad, eh?
Well, they are currently on an eight-match league-winning streak and will be looking for number nine today.
With the way they have been playing, who would bet against them...
Gunners in town
Arsenal are in the building.
Is that a slight smile on Leandro Trossard's face?
It may not be, but I am going to take it anyway. I'm sure he is at least happy inside.
The rest of them look like they mean business.
Trossard in from the start
Leandro Trossard might even crack a smile this week.
The Belgian winger was obviously not happy to have been benched for the first two matches of the season.
He proved his point last year by scoring with his first touch against Aston Villa, before not even showing his delight at scoring.
Well, his point has been taken by Mikel Arteta who squeezes him in on the left wing in place of Gabriel Martinelli.
He deserves his shot, can he take it?

Just the one change for Arsenal.
Leandro Trossard replaces Gabriel Martinelli after his impressive display off the bench at Aston Villa.
And no, they have not signed Mo Salah...
The player who adorns that name on the bench is actually Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand.
Interesting, very interesting...
It seems that Fabian Hurzeler is more like Roberto de Zerbi than we think - he also likes to rotate his goalkeepers.
Bart Verbruggen makes his first league start between the sticks this season, replacing Jason Steele.
Carlos Baleba is also in, replacing Billy Gilmour who now wears the blue of Napoli.
No new boys?
A lot has changed in a week since these two clubs last played a league game.
Arsenal have added three players to their squad, Mikel Merino, Neto, and Raheem Sterling.
However, none of them will be available to play today.
Merino suffered what is perceived as a serious injury in just his first training session in north London. Horrid luck.
Meanwhile, the other two were not registered in time to be able to get a place in the squad. I'm sure they will watch, though.
For Brighton, Matt O'Riley signed from Celtic, but just like Merino, has already picked up an injury.
It came about in just his first minutes in blue and white, as he was forced off 10 minutes into Brighton's 4-0 win over Crawley in the Carabao Cup second round.
So basically, don't expect to see any shiny new signings today.
Arteta: 'It's going to be tough'
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal boss, speaking on Friday:
We try to prepare like every manager and every team does, giving us the exact information and the relevant information that can really help us and give us what we need to win the game.
We will try to do the same tomorrow for a team that is doing really well and have won all of their games with their new coach. It’s going to be a tough match.
We are playing at home as well, get our supporters going, and create a special atmosphere and we know how important it is to have that kind of energy.
Gunning for three in a row
When you want to win a league title, you have to start fast.
Well, that's exactly what Arsenal have done with two 2-0 wins over Wolves and Aston Villa, respectively.
The Gunners mean business this year, they want it to be third time lucky in their bid to win a Premier League title.
It's still early days, but they are being thrown a second big test of the season with the visit of Brighton today.
As the Gunners well know, the Seagulls are know pushovers, they have won their opening two matches too.
The visitors may be under new management, but they are looking just as impressive as they did under Roberto de Zerbi.
I can just sense today will be a cracker.
London calling...
Did anybody get any sleep last night?
As always, there was a thrilling end to transfer deadline day with deals going right down to the wire.
One of those was Raheem Sterling's move to Arsenal, which wasn't confirmed until nearly 2am.
Sterling may not be able to play today, but he will get to see his new teammates in action as they take on Brighton.
Both sides have a 100% record in the Premier League this season, so far, but at least one of them will lose that today.
Who will it be?
