AT&T Will Be the Exclusive Launch Carrier of the Galaxy Ring

Samsung's new Galaxy Ring has arrived, but if you're looking to get it from a wireless carrier you'll only have one option at launch: AT&T. The new device will be exclusive to AT&T, at least among wireless providers.

The Ring will retail for $399. It is unclear how long AT&T will be the exclusive carrier, though Verizon has confirmed to CNET that it will be selling the new device at some point. T-Mobile told CNET that it has "no plans" to sell the Ring "right now."

AT&T will have the Ring available in "about 250 stores" and will sell all models of the device online.

US shoppers frequently purchase devices through their carriers, so having a presence at providers is an increasingly important avenues for phone makers to sell their devices and accessories in the US. While AT&T will be offering bundles for the new Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 with Samsung's Galaxy Tab and new Watch, it isn't offering a bundle with the Ring at launch.

Samsung is hoping the new wearable device will give it a boost in the health category, with a longer battery than a traditional smartwatch and, the company claims, a form factor that is "designed to be worn 24/7." In her brief time with the device ahead of Wednesday's Unpacked event, CNET's Lexy Savvides found the device to be "really comfortable to wear."

The new Galaxy Ring will be available starting on July 24.
