It's no surprise to see a record-low price during Prime Day, but this is a new one. The new 2024 Beats Pill speaker is down to its lowest ever price of $129, thanks to this week's October Prime Day, or as Amazon calls it, Big Deal Days.
CNET reviewer David Carnoy said it was surprising to see Apple-owned Beats release a Pill speaker in 2024 -- the company hadn't had a new model since 2015 -- but it was worth the wait. Some of the upgrades include changes to be fully waterproof and dust-proof, as well as USB-C charging, easy multipoint Bluetooth pairing and Find My capabilities (though Google calls it Find My Device).
There are a lot of attractive options when it comes to Bluetooth speakers, particularly Bose's SoundLink Flex which isn't as new but is top-rated and priced similarly. The Pill's improved sound quality, battery life and durability make it an appealing option, Carnoy writes. Now, with additional savings possible, it might be an even better option for those looking to upgrade.
