Beats by Dr. Dre makes our editors' favorite over-ear headphones, with the Beats Studio Pro headphones taking the top spot because of their high-quality sound and comfort level. Earlier this year, Beats released the Beats Solo 4 over-ear headphones, which saw improved sound quality, voice-calling performance, feature set and battery life over the previous-generation Beats Solo 3. Since that launch, we've seen prices come down on a number of Beats models, including the Studio Pro and Solo lines, as well as the in-ear Beats Studio Buds Plus and the Beats Powerbeats Pro. Some are more expensive than others, but the quality Beats offers is impressive given how reasonably priced the headphones tend to be overall. Since Apple bought Beats years ago, there's been a renewed push in both quality and features. Apple has included hardware, like the H1 chip, in some Beats headphones, as well as software that makes Beats pair more easily with Apple's products.
You'll be able to find deals on Beats headphones and earbuds across multiple retailers, which can be rare for other Apple-made products, and Apple even matches some Beats headphone deals from third-party retailers at its own online store. The latest generation of Beats Studio Buds, the Studio Buds Plus, might look the same on the exterior, but our reviewer noted its updated interior qualities, including improved fit and upgraded sound, thanks to better mic placement, noise-canceling performance and voice-calling performance.
These wireless earbuds are not true wireless, but they're not bad, and the price of the Beats Flex is even better. They provide up to 12 hours of listening time per charge and have auto-pause magnetic buds to boot.
Beats' Powerbeats Pro headphones have been out for a few years and list for $250. Right now, you can get them on sale for $200. Currently only the black color is in stock.
First released in 2016, the Beats Solo3 headphones predate the Solo Pro and have the W1 chip instead of the H1 chip. Though they're wireless, they're missing noise cancellation (unlike the Solo Pro). That said, the Solo3 is one of the most popular Beats models ever made.
Walmart is currently offering the rose gold variant for $119, which is $60 less than the regular price of $179 -- and that's lower than the original release price of $199.
