Nigerian Court Delays Binance Executives' Trial to May 17
A money laundering trial against Binance and two executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, has been adjourned until May 17.
The delay was confirmed after a lawyer for Binance stated that they had not received essential documents.
Gambaryan has been detained in Nigeria since late February and faces a second trial for tax evasion, also scheduled for May 17.
Binance has expressed disappointment over the detention and has denied that the executives have decision-making authority within the company.
The relationship between Binance and Nigeria has deteriorated, with the exchange ending support for the Nigerian Naira and Nigeria threatening fines over alleged financial transactions.
