Something to look forward to: Activision has revealed key details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, including system requirements, pre-load times, and file sizes. Additionally, the publisher has released a new gameplay trailer, building anticipation ahead of the game's October 25 launch.

At a minimum, the game requires 8 GB of RAM and 102 GB of available SSD storage. To run Black Ops 6 on PC, players will need at least a Ryzen 5 1400 or Core i5-6600 CPU paired with a Radeon RX 470 / GeForce GTX 960 / Intel Arc A580 graphics card with at least 2 GB of VRAM or better.

For optimal performance, Activision recommends at least 12 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 6600XT, GTX 1080Ti, or RTX 3060 with 8 GB of VRAM. To play at 4K/Ultra settings, the requirements jump to 16 GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 6800XT or RTX 3080/4070, paired with a Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7-8700K.

In addition to announcing the system requirements, Activision also released a new gameplay trailer to hype up its PC launch. The trailer does not showcase anything new, but confirms that as with previous Black Ops titles, the game will support a single-player campaign, a multiplayer component, and the cooperative round-based zombies mode.

Black Ops 6 will also offer crossplay support like previous titles in the franchise, meaning gamers on PC, Xbox and PlayStation will be able to play with each other.

The storyline is set in the early 90s, right after Black Ops Cold War. The game follows rouge operatives Troy Marshall and Frank Woods as they fight against a clandestine organization known as the Pantheon, which has infiltrated the CIA.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was developed by Beenox in partnership with Treyarch Studios. The game is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on October 25, and will be available on the Microsoft Store, Battle.net, and Steam.

For PC gamers, Black Ops 6 will roll out regionally on October 24 between 4 AM PT and 11 PM PT, while the official launch time for players on Battle.net and Steam is 9 PM PT on October 24.

Players who have pre-ordered the game can start pre-loading it on October 21 at 9 AM PT. The entire package – including campaign, multiplayer, and zombies – will be available for pre-loading.
