Carragher showcases secret talent ahead of Leicester vs Forest

Jamie Carragher took a step away from his punditry role to showcase his talents on the football pitch on Friday night - but not in the manner you would expect!

The Liverpool legend, who was part of Sky Sports' broadcast team for Leicester and Nottingham Forest's Premier League clash, partook in a hilarious challenge prior to kick-off.

Carragher was spotted dressed as Forest's 'Robin Hood' mascot before taking part in a footrace across the King Power Stadium against Leicester mascot Filbert Fox.

The hilarious incident was caught on camera as Carragher beat his rival to the finish line before losing his feet and slipping.

In a video that circulated X, Carragher's shoes could be seen flying off his feet during the race, which lead to him losing balance and falling over at the end.

Carragher won but, despite both of his shoes coming off, before slipping and falling

Reflecting on the incident with co-pundits Kelly Cates and Gary Neville, he said: 'What do we always say on this show ‘find a way to win’.

'We say that about the best teams. I don’t normally get beat on a Friday night. They came off but the head was that big I couldn’t see where they went in my peripheral vision.

Neville replied: 'Do you know Sky asked Leicester if I could go in the Fox outfit and they said no! I got turned down to be a mascot'.
