Chelsea BAN Trevoh Chalobah from the first-team building at Cobham

Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah has reportedly been banned from using the club's first-team training facilities as they try to facilitate a move for the defender.

Academy graduate Chalobah, 25, was excluded from Chelsea's travelling squad to the United States this summer, with the Blues looking to sell the centre back.

Chalobah had been training at Cobham under new head coach Enzo Maresca, but was left at home, with the likes of Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill preferred by the Italian.

Mail Sport reported last month how Chalobah, who joined Chelsea at the age of eight and has made 80 appearances for the club, feels he is being forced out of Stamford Bridge.

And, according to The Telegraph, along with training with Chelsea's development squad, Chalobah has also been kept away from the first-team facilities at Cobham.

Chalobah was left out of the club's squad for their pre-season tour of the USA this summer

Blues boss Enzo Maresca favoured the likes of Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana over Chalobah

The report goes on to say that Chalobah will remain at the academy building at the club's Cobham training ground until he agrees to a move away, with the 25-year-old having not been seen around the first team since they returned from the US earlier this week.

The defender has been joined in the Under 21s by fellow Blues academy graduate Armando Broja and Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea also looking to move on those two strikers this summer.

It is believed that Chelsea think this is the best way to deal with unwanted players who have no future at the club, allowing them to focus on a transfer away, rather than giving them false hope.

Conor Gallagher was dealt a similar fate before he agreed to join Atletico Madrid for £33.7million.

The report claims Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in a move for Chalobah, who rejected a transfer to Nottingham Forest last summer.

He spent much of last season injured, but fought his way back into Mauricio Pochettino's plans towards the end of the campaign and made 17 appearances in total.

Meanwhile, it is believed that Chalobah, who still has four years left to run on the contract he signed in November 2022, has acted professionally throughout the saga, with the club having slapped a £25m price tag on his head.

Chalobah, whose brother Nathaniel also played for the club between 2012 and 2017,  enjoyed loan spells at Ipswich, Huddersfield and Lorient during his formative years at Stamford Bridge.

The Chalobah news comes as Chelsea are closing in on the £54m arrival of Wolves' Pedro Neto

Elsewhere, Broja was part of the US pre-season tour, but struggled for gametime and has interest from clubs in the Premier League and overseas.

This comes despite the Albanian striker enduring a disappointing loan spell at Fulham during the second half of last season, where he failed to score a single goal.

Meanwhile, Lukaku could reunite with Antonio Conte at Napoli, but Chelsea are believed to want any suitor to meet his £37.8m release clause, which could scupper interest.

The news about Chalobah comes as Chelsea are closing in on the £54m arrival of Pedro Neto from Wolves, while they continue their pursuit of Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
