Chelsea make £6million profit on 19-year-old star who never played

Chelsea's fire sale is continuing despite the transfer window closing in England, with the Premier League club offloading Angelo Gabriel and working on other outgoings.

The Blues are making £19.1million on the 19-year-old Brazilian winger, who is joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr where he will link up with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. Chelsea will retain a sell-on clause from any future transfer involving Angelo.

David Datro Fofana is another asset ready to be offloaded with AEK Athens having shown interest in the 21-year-old Ivorian forward who spent half of last season on loan at Burnley.

The Greek transfer window does not close for another week and AEK sporting director Panagiotis Kone was at Stamford Bridge to watch Sunday's Premier League game with Crystal Palace.

Chelsea have confirmed the sale of 19-year-old winger Angelo Gabriel to Al-Nassr

Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis was sat in the same box, with Chelsea's decision makers including co-owner Behdad Eghbali and sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart also in attendance for that 1-1 draw.

A well as Greece, potential suitors in Turkey and Belgium still have time to snap up Chelsea players deemed surplus to requirement, such as Harvey Vale, Alex Matos and Deivid Washington, the 19-year-old Brazilian forward who saw a proposed loan to Hull fall through on deadline day.

Ben Chilwell is also among those available for sale or loan. However, the 27-year-old left back's wages, believed to come in at £200,000 per week, have posed a problem as there were no takers in Europe's elite leagues prior to those windows closing.

Chilwell is contracted until 2027 but has already been warned by Enzo Maresca that there is no route back into his first-team thoughts if he remains at the club this season.
