Quite a few deals have been put live to coincide with October's Prime Day, with Amazon most notably discounting its own products by major margins. This is best found in bundle offers, like this limited-time deal for an Echo Show 5 (3rd gen) and Blink Mini (1st gen) for just $55. Before the 56% discount was applied, buying both would cost $125 so picking them up together saves a decent $70.

The Amazon Echo Show 5 has a 5.5-inch display that lets you watch shows, follow along with recipes and take video calls with colleagues or display digital photos. If a friend or loved one has an Echo Show, you can conveniently call them directly using your device. You can also stream content from services such as Spotify, Prime and other popular apps. As it's an Amazon device, you can sync it with Alexa for added voice control options. This bundle includes the Blink Mini camera (first generation), a compact smart security camera that can help you keep an eye on your home.

You can also use the Echo Show as an extra way to keep your home safe. The camera allows you to take care of pets and monitor your home from a distance. If you have a compatible camera, you can also monitor your front door and keep track of packages, among other things. Two color designs of the Echo Show are available: cloud blue or glacier white

Amazon also offers a discount of 20% when you trade in an eligible device. This is a great way to score additional savings. If you're interested in this device but aren't sure if it's for you, we have a list of best smart home deals from a variety of reputable brands.
