Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins have left England's team and returned to their respective clubs to receive treatment on ongoing issues.
The trio of Premier League stars were all selected for Lee Carsley's first Three Lions squad ahead of his managerial debut match against Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.
News of injuries to the three stars will come as a shock to club supporters of Man City, Chelsea and Aston Villa where Foden, Palmer and Watkins all play in the English top-flight.

However, Foden wasn't present as he reported to have an illness that means he will play no part in England's upcoming friendly clashes.

'Foden did not report through illness and is ruled out of the matches against Republic of Ireland and Finland.
The extent of their problems will now need to be assessed with the Premier League not set to resume until Saturday, September 14.
Foden is expected to be amongst the quickest to return as he recovers from an illness that has stopped him participating for England in their first matches since the Euro 2024 final defeat against Spain.
Injuries to both Palmer and Watkins will require further assessment as the pair head back to Chelsea and Aston Villa.
