EPL legends Neville and Carragher launch 'It's Called Soccer!'

Soccer legends Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are launching a new series entitled 'It's Called Soccer' as they bring their popular partnership to the United States.

Pundits Neville and Carragher will join Rebecca Lowe - anchor of NBC's Premier League coverage - to discuss the biggest talking points from across soccer.

The series, which launches on September 18, will also see Neville and Carragher interview stars from across sports, film, TV and music about soccer.

Neville is an eight-time Premier League winner who spent his entire career at Manchester United. He also won 85 caps for England.

Carragher, meanwhile, played for Liverpool for nearly two decades, winning nine major trophies including the Champions League. The defender also played 38 times for the Three Lions.

The pundits will be joined by Rebecca Lowe, the face of NBC's Premier League coverage

Since retiring, the two analysts have become the face of Sky Sports' Premier League coverage in the UK.

Carragher is also a regular on CBS on Champions League nights, while Neville recently signed a deal to join NBC as a Premier League insider.

Last year, they launched the popular podcast Stick To Football alongside Roy Keane, Ian Wright and former England women's star Jill Scott. 'It's Called Soccer' will be available as both a podcast and on YouTube.

'Stick to Football on The Overlap channel has been a huge success, because the show is a conversation about football by people who love the game – just like how fans do right across the world,' Neville said.

'This is no different for those in America, so it’s fantastic we are creating something unique for them. I’m looking forward to joining Carra and Rebecca, along with some great guests, to discuss (and debate!) the biggest talking points from the Premier League and other leagues right across the world, including MLS.'

Carragher added: 'Since working on the Champions League coverage for CBS I have seen the explosion of soccer in the US and how much the game means for fans in America.

'I couldn’t be more excited about the launch of this new series. The only downside is it means spending even more time with Gary Neville.'
