Fans hail Liverpool's 'SEXY' new corner routine under Arne Slot

With half an hour on the clock and Liverpool already leading through a Mo Salah goal, the Reds won a corner.

But this was no ordinary set-piece, as in only their second match under new manager Arne Slot, no fewer than eight Liverpool players lined up beyond the back post on the edge of the penalty area.

They then all scattered to take up different positions as Kostas Tsimikas delivered the cross in the hope of confusing Arsenal's defence.

On this occasion, it didn't work as Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein punched the ball away before the referee blew for a free-kick to the Gunners, but the unique tactics have got people talking after the clip went viral on social media, and many fans approve.

'Oi nah this is so funny but so sexy,' one fan exclaimed alongside a series of sobbing with laughter emojis.

Another fan was also impressed as they stated: 'This is brilliant'.

One supporter admitted the routine was 'weird' but they still gave it the thumbs-up as they wrote: 'This looks so weird, I’m really into it'.

Corners can sometimes be somewhat basic with unimaginative tactics, but one fan was pleased to see things look set to be different with Slot in charge, claiming: 'Finally corners will be interesting to watch'.

Slot vowed to do things his own way after replacing Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, and he has started to make his mark in pre-season.

Liverpool fans were also really excited with how their team played out from the back in the build-up to Salah's goal on Wednesday night.

They hailed 'Arne Slot ball' as the Reds put together a fine team move which Salah finished in style.

They would go on to double their advantage through Fabio Carvalho before Kai Havertz halved the deficit.

But Liverpool held on for the win, making it two from two under Slot ahead of the final game of their US pre-season tour against Manchester United on Saturday.
