Fans joke that Federico Chiesa 'noticed the leaking roof '

Fans have joked that new Liverpool signing Federico Chiesa was pointing out the leaking roof at Old Trafford during Sunday's Premier League clash between Man United and Liverpool.

Liverpool dominated a United team who could not keep pace with them in the first half, the visitors taking the lead in the 35th minute through a back-post header from Diaz after United midfielder Casemiro had given the ball away.

Casemiro was again at fault for Diaz and Liverpool's second, again supplied by Mohamed Salah, with the Colombia international sweeping home three minutes before the break, sending United supporters off for their halftime refreshments early.

Red new boy Chiesa was in the stands for the match following his transfer from Juventus last week.

Liverpool landed the Italy forward on a four-year deal from the Old Lady for an initial fee of £10million, possibly rising to £12.5m with add-ons.

And fans on social media think they know what he was thinking after a clip emerged on social media.

Chiesa was seen pointing upwards around the stands and saying something to those sat next to him.

Some took to X to joke that he was making a point about the roof, which has garnered attention for leaking during matches.
