Ferdinand calls Ronaldo 'a b*****d' as he appears to mock legends

Rio Ferdinand jokingly called Cristiano Ronaldo a 'b*****d' after his former Manchester United team-mate appeared to aim a jibe at legends such as Pele.

Ronaldo claimed that the fact that there is video footage of his goals makes him stand out from legends who played many years ago.

After scoring a free-kick for Al-Nassr against Al-Feiha, Ronaldo reached 899 career goals.

Ronaldo is now targeting the landmark of 900 goals and is also planning to reach the incredible milestone of 1,000.

Fifa state that Pele scored 1,281 goals, but the Brazil legend featured prominently in exhibition and amateur matches, with his official tally standing at 762.

Ronaldo expressed his desire to reach 1,000 goals and appeared to mock the likes of Pele, Eusebio and Alfredo Di Stefano in doing so.

Speaking on his new YouTube channel, Ronaldo said: 'Soon I will do 900 and, after, I will beat 1,000.

'I want to reach 1,000 goals. If I don't have injuries, this, for me, is the most important. I want that.

'It's the best marker I can have in football. There will be one difference: all of my goals have videos, so I can prove that.'

Ferdinand then burst out laughing as he said: 'You're a b*****d. You're talking about Alfredo Di Stefano, Pele, Eusebio.'

Ferdinand says Ronaldo will have to continue playing until at least 41 to get to 1,000 goals

Ronaldo then continued to joke as he said: 'If you want more goals, I can bring them from training too.'

39-year-old Ronaldo agreed with Ferdinand that he would have to carry on playing until at least the age of 41 if he was to reach the target of 1,000 goals.

Lionel Messi, who has enjoyed a lengthy rivalry with Ronaldo, has found the net 838 times.

The majority of Ronaldo's career goals came for Real Madrid, for whom he scored 450 times. During an unbelievable career he has had two spells at United and has also featured for Juventus and Sporting as well as Al-Nassr.
