FIFA set to reveal host venues for next summer's Club World Cup

FIFA are pressing ahead with plans for next summer’s Club World Cup in the United States, with football's world governing body set to take the significant step of announcing the venues.

Gianni Infantino will appear at the Global Citizen Festival in New York on Saturday to confirm the stadiums that will be used between June 15 to July 13 for the 32-team tournament.

Chelsea are among the clubs embracing their invite into the competition, despite complaints from elsewhere in relation to player overload.

FIFA have not yet announced any broadcast partners for the competition but confirmation of stadia is a step forward with less than nine months until it all kicks off.

Most of the venues are expected to be on the East Coast, with the Red Bull Arena (pictured) in New Jersey among the potential stadiums

Most of the venues are expected to be situated on the East Coast, such as the Red Bull Arena and the MetLife Stadium, both in New Jersey, with other locations in the States likely to include Atlanta, Seattle and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

The USA is also set to co-host the 2026 regular World Cup with Mexico and Canada.
