'Flappy Bird' Telegram Tips Guide: How to Earn the Most Points for the Airdrop

Iconic mobile game Flappy Bird has swooped back onto the scene—but this time as a Telegram game with a future airdrop teased.

Flappy Bird’s return comes as Telegram gaming has boomed around the tap-to-earn model. Games like Hamster Kombat and Rocky Rabbit get players furiously tapping their screens in the hope of maximizing their slice of a future token airdrop

There are a number of signs that a Flappy Bird token is on the way, so many players are already looking to get ahead and maximize their potential earnings early on. We’ve been at the forefront of the Telegram gaming craze at Decrypt’s GG, so we know all the tips and tricks to help you prosper.

Getting started

When you first open Flappy Bird on Telegram, there will be a bunch of easy wins offered to help you put your best foot forward.

First, click the golden coin tab at the bottom and connect your wallet right away—after all, without a connected wallet, you can’t receive any future airdrops.

Next head to the Upgrade tab to the left of Play Now. Here, you will be able to upgrade your bird multiple times by sharing and watching ads to start earning 0.3 passive wing points per minute. We’re not entirely sure what any of these points mean just yet, but they’re sure to be vital to your progress—and in most crypto games, points usually equate to future airdrop allocations.

Doing these few things will get you off to a flying start… sorry.

Do the daily tasks

As with many Telegram games, excelling in Flappy Bird is about being consistent. Every single day you are able to earn points by performing daily tasks—do not forget these.

Daily tasks are quick and simple missions that take no effort to perform, and if you're serious about piling up points ahead of a potential airdrop, then not doing these every day is just negligent.

If you stay consistent, then after three days you’ll earn an egg full of in-game rewards. It appears that these eggs grow in rarity all the way up to a month worth of daily logins. Again, it’d be silly not to pop in daily and play a bit if you're serious about making the most of Flappy Bird on Telegram.

Equally, make sure you use up your stamina bar every day. All of these tasks and tips may boost your earnings, but ultimately playing the game will set you apart from the pack. So it's time to get good…

Get good

If you’re not reasonably skilled at Flappy Bird, then you’re going to crash and burn. The better you are, the more coins you'll earn and the faster you'll progress. Here are some tips to make it across the Flappy Bird finish line.

First off, stay calm. Admittedly, crashing into the first pipe three times in a row is infuriating, but you’re only likely to make more mistakes if you're rattled and anxious. Minimize distractions, and if you're really serious about making progress, then consider turning off notifications while sitting alone in a quiet room. Don’t let an annoying sibling charge in and ruin your future airdrop!

Get into a good rhythm. When you find yourself in that groove and enter a flow state, Flappy Bird almost seems too easy—that’s when you perform the best. There's nothing to it.

You can only control your movement upwards with each tap of the screen, and for this reason you should aim for the bottom pipe when approaching the next set. If you think you’re going to hit it, then give the screen a tap. Otherwise, when you enter near the upper pipe, you’ve got to time your tap perfectly as you rapidly fall towards the lower one.

Finally, be careful when letting yourself fall. Gravity in this game is one hell of a thing. The longer you fall, the quicker you plummet—be warned! A general tip is to catch yourself as soon as your bird starts to nose dive, preventing a calamitous fall from the sky. Stay cool, calm, and composed.
