Forgotten Chelsea star completes move to Lens on a free transfer

A former Chelsea star has signed for Lens following his departure from Stamford Bridge.

The player's association with the Blues officially came to an end this week when his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Although he had a year left on his deal, the player was eager to leave Chelsea as he aims to play regularly elsewhere. 

The individual had a frustrating time last season as he didn't make any appearances for Chelsea.

He will now be hoping that the next step in his career will prove to be more productive.
