Former Man United star joins the SEVENTH club of his nomadic career

A former Manchester United star has completed the seventh move of his senior career.

The winger enjoyed an instant impact at Old Trafford after joining United's academy and went on to make 63 appearances for the club.

Since leaving Old Trafford, the former international has plied his trade in three different countries, with his latest move marking the seventh team he has represented.

The star in question is 29-year-old Adnan Januzaj, who has agreed to join LaLiga club Las Palmas on a season-long loan from Sevilla.

After impressing Sir Alex Ferguson during his time in United's youth system, Januzaj was promoted to the first-team for the latter part of the 2012-13 campaign.

Januzaj would go on to make his senior debut for a United side that were undergoing a transition period following Ferguson's retirement, and quickly became a key component of David Moyes' side during the Scotsman's brief stint in charge.

Despite lacking in physicality Januzaj registered seven goal contributions in his maiden Premier League campaign and was rewarded for his performances with a first international cap.

However, following Moyes' departure Januzaj quickly fell down the pecking order at United, as successive managers Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho looked elsewhere for options on the wing.

Loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland failed to revitalise Januzaj's career in Manchester, and he left the club on a permanent deal in 2017 to join Real Sociedad.

Januzaj would collect his first senior silverware at the Reale Arena as a team featuring current Newcastle star Alexander Isak won the Copa del Rey in 2020.

After five seasons and more than 150 appearances at the Basque club Januzaj was not offered a new contract and instead joined LaLiga rivals Sevilla on a free transfer.

Once again minutes would prove hard to come by for the Belgian, and he spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir before playing less than 200 minutes of league football last season.

Now 29, Januzaj will be hoping that a move to Las Palmas side that finished 16th last season will offer more of a chance to showcase his skills.

He will be joined at the Canary Island club by former Sheffield United forward Oli McBurnie after the Scotland international joined on a three-year deal earlier this week.
