Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just around the corner, and with it comes a new exciting campaign, new weapons and equipment, intense action and almost certainly plenty of explosions. Most importantly, the latest Black Ops game from Treyarch provides a new setting for groups of friends and players from all over the world to get stuck into.
The latest Call of Duty is set in 1991, following rogue operatives Troy Marshall and Frank Woods. The two of them pair up and use their skills to assemble a team to hunt down a covert force known as Pantheon, which has infiltrated the Central Intelligence Agency. Anyone who resists Pantheon and their schemes are considered traitors to the United States, and must be tracked down and dealt with.
The campaign sounds like fun, but it's the multiplayer mode that's got its hooks in the majority of players looking to jump into Black Ops 6 as soon as possible. The best way to do that is by preloading the game so it's ready for launch, a perfect addition for players who don't have as good of an internet connection as they'd like.

Treyarch/ActivisionThe good news is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is already available to preload on all platforms, such as PlayStation, Xbox, Microsoft PC store, as well as on Battle.net and Steam. Preloads first started on Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. PT.
Preloads work like this: The platform you're playing your game on downloads everything you need to play the game, except the components necessary for you to launch and start the game. It's like when you have to collect a key from your new landlord when renting a new place: It's yours, but you need to wait for the right time for you to go and collect the keys, put them into the door and step inside.
The way you preload will depend on the platform you're playing on. Players who've preordered Black Ops 6 and already have Call of Duty installed will get the latest game as an automatic update to their existing installation, so that they won't have to manually install Black Ops 6.

If you plan to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on PlayStation, you can initiate the preload by logging onto your user on your console, and going to the Black Ops 6 page via the PSN store.
If you're playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Xbox,you can preload the game by logging onto your user on your console or via the Microsoft PC store and initiate the download manually there.
Alternatively, if you're planning to get Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 through Game Pass or PC, can also initiate the preload via their own storefronts like Battle.net and Steam.
