HPE unveils Private Cloud AI co-engineered with Nvidia - SiliconANGLE

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. Private Cloud AI is revolutionizing enterprise artificial intelligence by offering a powerful, turnkey solution that combines strong compute power, fast storage and user-friendly features. HPE’s latest innovation provides a compelling option for businesses looking to streamline AI deployment and accelerate digital transformation.

Cheri Williams, SVP and GM of GreenLake Flex Solutions and common services at HPE talked to theCUBE about Private Cloud AI at HPE Discover 2024.

HPE’s Chery Williams beaks down HPE Private Cloud AI’s nuances.

“We announced Private Cloud AI, which is a fully integrated hardware-software stack solution co-engineered with Nvidia; it includes storage, compute and networking,” said Cheri Williams (pictured), senior vice president and general manager of GreenLake Flex Solutions and common services at HPE. “Of course, the compute is the Nvidia GPUs as well as a very rich curated stack of software components, including the Nvidia NIM software stack, the Nvidia AI enterprise software stack and the HPE AI essential stack.”

Williams spoke with theCUBE Research’s Dave Vellante and Rebecca Knight at HPE Discover, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed HPE Private Cloud AI and its potential to make advanced AI capabilities accessible to enterprises of all sizes. (* Disclosure below.)

Scalable solutions with HPE Private Cloud AI

The system is designed to be ready for deployment right out of the box, significantly reducing setup time and complexity. Beyond just AI servers, HPE Private Cloud AI is a set of fully engineered systems, with Nvidia Corp. hardware underpinnings, tailored to an organization’s specific set of use cases, according to Williams.

“It comes completely preloaded, racked and ready to roll into your data center, plug into your network, three clicks and you’re ready to go,” she said. “And you have the storage aspect both in system storage and then we have embedded the Ezmeral Data Fabric and the Data Lakehouse. What’s super important about that and super interesting is that that allows you through a single global namespace to be able to access data anywhere.”

Private Cloud AI is designed with scalability in mind. Customers can start small and scale as needed or opt for larger configurations to future-proof investments, with system support for various GPU configurations, according to Williams.

“Small starts with four to eight GPUs and then the other piece that’s variable is the storage,” she said. “You can start with 30 terabytes of storage and go up to 109 terabytes on small and then medium has its range and so forth. And they’re attuned to different use cases in different models.”
