If you're slacking on your summer reading list, maybe a Kindle can help you reach your goals, specifically a Kindle Scribe. Not only is it an e-reader, you can also take notes directly on the paper-like display. And right now for a limited time, you can score one for just $235. You take take advantage of this deal either at Best Buy or Target. Best Buy also has a trade in discount if you have a device to trade in. The discount is dependent on the device you are trading. As for Target, there isn't a trade in offer but if you use your RedCard, you can score an extra 5% off. Hurry, this Kindle Scribe is back down to it's record low price and probably won't last too long.

In his testing, CNET's David Carnoy found that the Kindle Scribe "strikes a very good balance between a large-format e-reader and an E Ink note-taking tablet." It has a 300 pixel-per-inch, front-lit, 10.2-inch, E Ink touchscreen with adjustable warm light and can provide weeks of battery life on a single charge. It's the largest Kindle ever, but still weighs in at just under a pound. While that certainly makes it portable, you will probably want to invest in a cover that can double as a stand -- which you'll have to buy separately.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Depending on the model you get, your Scribe will come with either a standard or premium stylus. Each will adhere magnetically to the side of your Scribe and require neither power nor Bluetooth connectivity, so you'll never have to charge it. The higher-end pen essentially works like a regular pencil -- it even has a built-in eraser -- and has a programmable button. You can use the stylus to mark up PDFs, and sending those documents to the device itself is easy. Note, however, that you cannot mark up Kindle ebooks or DRM-free ePub ebooks. Essentially you'll be adding "sticky notes" to anything other than a PDF.

If you're more of a movie person as opposed to a book person, check out these deals on TVsthat are going on right now.
