Jamaica have announced Steve McClaren as their new men's head coach as the former England manager leaves his assistant coach role at Manchester United.
McLaren was announced as the Caribbean nation's new dugout chief in a shock move on Wednesday as his exit from Erik ten Hag's coaching team was confirmed.
The 63-year-old - who previously was assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson - returned to Old Trafford at Ten Hag's side two seasons ago when the Dutchman was tasked with leading the club back to silverware success.
His presence within United's squad did exactly that as they won the Carabao Cup in Ten Hag's first year and finished last season by beating rivals Man City in the FA Cup final.
Jamaica have been looking for a new permanent manager after Heimir Hallgrímsson resigned at the end of last month, with Mail Sport previously revealing Steve Bruce had also held talks over the vacancy.

McClaren was previously England manager during an unsuccessful spell between 2006 and 2007, leaving abruptly as the Three Lions failed to qualify for Euro 2008.
He has since continued in assistant positions and has been involved with United's pre-season training ahead of the new Premier League season getting underway, but will now depart to take up his new job in Jamaica.
Confirming news of his departure, McClaren insisted his previous technical advisor role at FIFA helped him recognise the potential in advancing the Jamaica national team.
'I am extremely proud and excited to take up the position of head coach for the Jamaica men's national team. I had no hesitation in accepting a position that is ideally suited to me at this stage of my career,' he said.
'Prior to returning to Manchester United for a second spell, I spent time at FIFA as a technical advisor on their Global Exo Analysis project.
'Jamaica was one of the team teams I worked with an I quickly came to realise the potential the country possessed.
'In the years since, that potential has grown significantly and there is every reason to believe that with continued hard work and development a bright future lies ahead,' McClaren added.
The Englishman was previously Ten Hag's right-hand man but moved into a senior first-team coach role when Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake joined the club in the summer.
