Jayson Tatum leads Celtics to victory over Heat, downplays fall

Jayson Tatum sparked the Boston Celtics to a convincing 114-94 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. Tatum showcased his versatility with a playoff triple-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Despite a collision with Caleb Martin that sent him to the floor, Tatum remained composed and rallied his team. The Celtics displayed their toughness and physicality in response to the incident.

Coach Joe Mazzulla praised the team's reaction, while center Kristaps Porzingis acknowledged the potential rallying effect it could have.

From the outset, the Celtics dominated the game, jumping out to a 14-0 lead. Their superior 3-point shooting proved decisive, with Boston knocking down 19 3s to Miami's five in the first three quarters.

Despite the absence of key players like Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier, the Heat face an uphill battle in the series, which resumes on Wednesday.
