Juventus star Federico Chiesa wants to join Liverpool this summer

Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool if the clubs can agree a fee.

Chiesa has one year left on contract and is valued at around £12.75million with Liverpool discussing a four year contract.

The 26-year-old began his career at Fiorentina and went on to make more than 150 appearances in all competitions for I Viola before joining Juventus, initially on a two-year loan, in 2020.

Though injuries have often curtailed his involvement, Chiesa has won two Coppa Italias at the Turinese club.

Chiesa enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his time at Juventus last season, scoring nine times across 33 appearances in Serie A.

Federico Chiesa is intent on joining Liverpool from Juventus this summer if a deal can be reached

He is also a regular feature for Italy, and was part of Roberto Mancini's side that defeated England at Wembley in the final of Euro 2020.

Liverpool finalised the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili for £29m on Tuesday, making the Georgian goalkeeper the first new arrival of the Arne Slot era.

The club are exploring the possibility of adding more players before Friday's deadline.
