Lakers Beat Nuggets, Gain Lifeline with Game 4 Win
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 119-108 in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series, snapping an 11-game losing streak against the defending champions.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, while Anthony Davis contributed 25 points and 23 rebounds. D'Angelo Russell also played well, scoring 21 points.
Despite the win, the Lakers still trail 3-1 in the series and face elimination in Game 5 on Monday.
James said, "We've given ourselves another life. We've given ourselves another lifeline, and it's a one-game series for us."
Davis added, "Our confidence was never lost at any point in the game."
The Lakers will need to continue their strong play in Game 5 to stay alive in the series.
