Lego Shows Off New Mario Kart and Animal Crossing Sets at Gamescom

Lego and Nintendo have given the "ready, set, go!" to a sextet of Super Mario: Mario Kart sets that will be available on Jan. 1, 2025. At the Gamescom exhibition in Germany, the companies showed off the first series of karts and characters inspired by the racing series including Yoshi, Toad, Donkey Kong, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi and Baby Peach.

Nintendo previously teased the Mario Kart sets back in March.

Three new Animal Crossing sets will also be available on New Year's Day: a Stargazing with Celeste set (78 pieces), Leif's Caravan & Garden Shop (263 pieces), and Able Sisters Clothing Shop (322 pieces).

Lego first started releasing Super Mario-themed Lego sets in 2020.

The Mario Kart sets that will debut on Jan. 1 are:

Yoshi Bike, 133 pieces, includes light-blue Yoshi.
