Graeme Souness has gone into astonishing detail on his life in the Everything I Know About Me podcast, revealing the moment he was targeted in a shooting.

The 71-year-old football icon enjoyed a highly successful career, playing for Liverpool, Sampdoria, and Rangers, winning 20 trophies in the process.

However, it was during his time in Glasgow that matters off the pitch posed a threat to his life while on it, Souness revealed.

The incident came during his time as player-manager for the blue half of the Old Firm in the 1980s, following a move back to his home country from Sampdoria.

Souness is best remembered for his stunning career at Anfield, where he was part of the team that won five First Division titles and three European Cups.
