Liverpool agree £10m fee with RB Salzburg for Bobby Clark

Red Bull Salzburg have agreed a fee with Liverpool for youngster Bobby Clark as the 19-year-old prepares to leave England for the Austrian top-flight side.

Arne Slot is yet to welcome a player to the club since replacing Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout at the start of the summer ahead of the Premier League season getting underway on Friday.

Now the club are set to see their squad numbers further reduced as Clark prepares to join Salzburg after the two clubs came to an agreement on a £10m asking price.

Salzburg are coached by former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders who previously worked with Clark as the attacking talent broke through into the club's first-team last season.

The two teams have also agreed a 17.5 per cent sell on fee as Liverpool attempt to guarantee the investment they have made in developing Clark since he joined their academy.

Leeds and Norwich were amongst the Championship sides that also registered their interest in the attacking talent who made six appearances in the Premier League last season.

However, Salzburg have beaten both clubs to Clark's signature as the Liverpool academy product targets more consistent first-team opportunities at the Austrian side.

Clark was one of the surprise omissions from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States as he sought to leave Anfield.

The youngster scored 17 goals in Premier League youth competitions last season, while also breaking his senior duck with a strike in the Europa League.
