Liverpool to wear new third kit against Manchester United on Sunday

Arne Slot's side will travel to Old Trafford on Sunday as the Reds bid to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season.

Liverpool players wear their new white third kit during the match, which was released by the club on Tuesday.

The shorts for the third kit are black with white socks, while the goalkeeper kit worn by Alisson Becker will be green.

The kit includes a vertical Nike logo as part of the brand's ‘Together We Rise’ collection, which is claimed to celebrate the women’s game and its acceleration in world sport.

'Each third kit is inspired by the club's unique story, distinct identity, culture and diverse communities. LFC's shirt is 'rebellious by design' and a celebration of female punk artists who pioneered a new sound in the city,' Liverpool said.

'It fuses the iconic club colours with a loud mixed pattern in homage to the city's fearless artists and features in parts the Liver bird feathers.

'On the reverse of the jersey, the 97 emblem encased by the eternal flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck in memory of those children, women and men who were unlawfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.'

Liverpool added that when the kit is won in European competition by the men's team this season, it will also feature the LFC Foundation patch on the reverse.

The Reds have enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League season, winning their opening two matches under Arne Slot.

Slot enjoyed a winning start at Anfield on Sunday with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah scoring in a 2-0 win over Brentford.

Liverpool had also won their season opener 2-0 against Ipswich.

Slot will face his biggest test yet in the early stages of his Liverpool reign when the Dutchman takes his side to Old Trafford on Sunday.
