Liverpool youngster Billy Koumetio is close to joining Scottish side Dundee on a permanent move.
The defender spent time in France with Dunkerque last season and then was on loan at Blackburn from January onwards but did not feature in the Championship.
Liverpool had high hopes for Frenchman Koumetio, 21, after he joined the club in 2018 but it has not worked out and he was not part of their travelling squad on a pre-season tour of the United States.
His contract is set to expire next summer and Liverpool have decided to cash in on him rather than lose him for free.
Koumetio has made 49 appearances for Liverpool's Under-21 team, and just two for the first team which came in the Champions League and the League Cup.

He had become the youngest player to feature for Liverpool in the Champions League when he came off the bench against FC Midtjylland in December 2020, a record later broken by Stefan Bajcetic.
Koumetio struggled for minutes last season, playing just nine times for Dunkerque and once for Blackburn.
He will hope to kickstart his career at Dundee and rack up minutes in the first team away from Anfield.
The centre-back will become the sixth player to leave Liverpool permanently this summer after Joel matip, Thiago, Adrian, Anderson Arroyo and Adam Lewis.
Slot's side will play their final pre-season game against Sevilla on Sunday before opening their Premier League campaign against Ipswich next weekend.
