Man United fans hit out at Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez might not have chosen the best picture to post after arriving for international duty with Argentina.

Martinez had a day to forget as United were swept aside by fierce rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Reds ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Luis Diaz and a strike from Mo Salah and the margin could have been more.

Top flight stars have now joined up with their countries for the international break and Martinez has incurred the wrath of some United supporters with a post on social media.

The 26-year-old shared two photos, one of himself arriving for Argentina duty and another of himself and Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Lisandro Martinez has received criticism for posting this tweet days after Man United's defeat

And United fans couldn't believe he had chosen the only Argentinian Liverpool player to pose with.

'What a goon', wrote one. 'They've got no idea anymore modern day players.'

'Is this guy taking the f***ing p***,' another posted while one said 'I thought Lisandro was the one that gets it man.'

Another said: 'now more than ever, I get what they mean by 'game's gone'.

The general consensus was that it was an error of judgement on behalf of the United man.

Another account posted: 'just got battered by his club's biggest rivals so what does 'The Butcher' do? Poses for a photo with the ONLY Liverpool Argentinian player.
