Hojlund returned to action for United last month but admits that his weight has changed.
The 21-year-old is currently with Denmark for Nations League games away to Spain on Saturday and away to Switzerland on Tuesday.
Hojlund added that he may not be ready to play 90 minutes against Spain.
Rasmus Hojlund has made an admission regarding his weight after recovering from injury
Hojlund stated that he has lost some weight following his injury but added that he isn't especially concerned by it.
As reported by The Mirror, Hojlund said: 'There is no point in rushing things and risking another injury.
'My body feels good again. I might be ready to play 90 minutes, but if I also use my brain a little bit, I don't think 90 minutes on Saturday against Spain is a good idea.
'I've lost a little weight, but it doesn't matter. I know there are some benefits to being a little lighter and some benefits to being a little heavier. I'm not focused on the scales. I've gotten used to the fact that my weight fluctuates a little bit.'
Hojlund has featured five times for United since returning from injury and has scored once, with that goal coming against Porto in the Europa League.
In total, Hojlund has scored 17 goals in 43 games for the Red Devils following his switch from Atalanta in August 2023.
Given United's current struggles they will be hoping that Hojlund can use the international break to build up his sharpness further.
United, who are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, will host Brentford in their first game after the international break.
