The big picture: Intel's Core Ultra 200 CPU series recently broke cover with the introduction of the Lunar Lake 200V models for light laptops. While leaks have built a reasonably clear picture of the desktop 200K variants, which Chipzilla expects to unveil soon, the high-performance mobile parts remain obscure. A new post from a renowned tipster indicates they may resemble their desktop counterparts with slightly lower clocks.

Vetted leaker Jaykihn has shared the clock speeds and core counts of six previously unknown Intel Arrow Lake HX CPUs. The high-end laptop processors generally align with the previously leaked Arrow Lake S lineup with an additional chip at the bottom end of the stack.

Leading the pack is the Core Ultra 9 285HX. Its 24 cores (eight performance and 16 efficiency) and 5.5GHz boost clock put it only 200MHz behind its desktop counterpart. That CPU, the 5.7GHz 285K, appeared in a UK retailer listing with four other chips earlier this month.

The second laptop processor, the Ultra 7 275HX, features the same number of cores with a 5.4GHz boost – meanwhile, the Ultra 7 265HX features 20 cores (8+12). At 5.3GHz, it is only 200MHz slower than its desktop K and KF counterparts, while the Ultra 5 255HX boasts an identical core count at 5.2GHz.

Finally, the two lowest-ranked chips each pack 14 cores at 5.1GHz. The Ultra 5 245HX aligns with the desktop variants, but the 235HX has no known equivalent. It might be the first Core Ultra 3 200 series CPU.

All of the leaked HX processors feature Xe2 Battlemage integrated graphics. The 255HX and higher include 64 EU cores. The flagship 285HX clocks its graphics at 2GHz, while the 235HX on the opposite end of the lineup is limited to 1.8GHz. The iGPUs in-between all operate at 1.9GHz.

There is still no sign of the rumored "Arrow Lake Halo," which is said to be Intel's response to the enhanced iGPU featured in AMD's Strix Halo chipset. Arrow Lake Halo reportedly includes 14 cores and 320 EUs.

The release window for Arrow Lake HX remains fuzzy, but it will likely come after the Arrow Lake S Core Ultra 200K/KF lineup, which Intel might reveal on October 10. Panther Lake, also known as Intel Core 300, is expected to follow in the latter half of next year.
