New Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Trailer Reveals More About the Game

Warner Bros. Games dropped an official trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions on Monday, revealing some of the customizations available in the upcoming and showing off gameplay. It's made by Unbroken Studios, which also co-developed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

In the two-minute trailer, venues on the road to the Quidditch World Cup are spotlighted, as are the different game modes, including a single-player career mode, player-versus-player modes and online co-op. You can play as characters from the franchise including Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasely and Cho Chang, all featured in the trailer, or customize your own character with different costuming, hairstyles and brooms.

Up to three players can play together on each team with online mode, and players can choose from the four Quidditch positions: chaser, seeker, keeper or beater. Skill points allow players to level up their brooms and competitors can change their flight style to suit their play. The game's description promises that some of the gameplay venues will include "legendary Quidditch arenas, as well as maps that showcase never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world."

The Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Windows PC game is out digitally in $30 standard and $40 deluxe editions on September 3rd. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to get the game for PlayStation 4 or 5 at no charge until Sept. 30. A retail Deluxe Edition release is scheduled for Nov. 8. A Nintendo Switch release is due sometime over the holiday season, but has no set release date yet. The deluxe edition includes House Packs for each of the four Hogwarts Houses and 2,000 Gold of in-game currency. Preorders for both editions on Xbox, Steam or the Epic Game Store include a Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin.
