Neymar's camp slam Al-Hilal exit rumours as 'LIES'

Representatives of Neymar have slammed reports linking the Brazilian with a stunning proposed return to Barcelona as 'lies' in a damning update confirming support to his Saudi Arabian employer.

Neymar became one of the Saudi Pro League's most high-profile signings when he joined Al-Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in a £68m transfer last year.

At the time, Barcelona had been linked with buying Neymar back from the same club they previously sold him for a world record £198m move.

Similar reports have now emerged with the 32-year-old suggested to be again interested in ending his time in the Middle East, but Neymar's camp have denied such rumours.

The Brazilian has struggled with injuries since signing for Al-Hilal and has only made five appearances during his time at the club who are one of the luxury league's biggest spenders.

He agreed a two-year deal with the PIF-backed club last year that is understood to be worth £130million a year and is committed to seeing out the remainder of his contract there.

Concerned about reports linking him with leaving Al-Hilal early, Neymar's camp have stated: 'The articles on Ney's return to Barça from Al Hilal are LIES and tremendous disrespect for Al Hilal and the athlete,' they said as per Fabrizio Romano.

'Neymar is under contract with Al Hilal and he's happy in Riyadh. Soon he returns to the pitch to delight the fans'.

Meanwhile, the former Barcelona superstar who burst onto the global scene with his dazzling trickery has only scored one goal for the Saudi club who are making him one of the world's best-paid footballers.

He missed 271 days last season after being injured in his first few Al-Hilal appearances and subsequently needing to undergo corrective surgery that has required extensive rehabilitation.

Neymar could however soon return to action at Al-Hilal when as he continues to step up his recovery efforts.
