Panasonic OLED TV Comes to US and We Go Hands-On

Today, I stand before you very excited for now, I can reveal that after eight years, Panasonic is now making a return to the US and making TV. S again, it's like oasis, getting back together but you know, better and not sad. But what sort of TV can possibly live up to the brand's massive reputation before four K came in and wrecked everything. Panasonic's plasma TV. S offered the best picture for the money. The first five star review that CNET ever gave a TV to the Panasonic T 60 plasma was great for 1080 P with excellent colors and deep blacks, but engineers couldn't make the pixels small or cheap enough for ultra HD. And so the technology died out without plasma. Panasonic eventually bowed out of the US in 2016, but the brand is back for 2024 and this time it's bringing OLED the company has three oe coming this year including the flagship, the 65 inch Z 95 which will also be one of the most expensive TV. S at $3200 though I'm sure that TV was sold for less than this on the street. The brand is also bringing four mini led LC DS to market starting at 1300 bucks. I've had some time to watch and to measure the Z 95 over the past week. And I can say that the picture is even better than for the plasmas of yesteryear black is truly black. Something that never quite happened with plasma shadow detail is also up there with the best of the best but is better than plasma enough. In 2024 the Z 95 is also $400 more expensive than the Samsung S 95 which is the best TV we've ever reviewed until now. But what has Panasonic also improved while the old plasma T V's displays were fantastic. Its smart T V's interface was one of the worst. The company has fixed this by loading the 2024 models with one of the most popular operating systems via TV. Of course, you can mostly do the same thing by adding your own $50 fire stick to any television. So how does this brand new for the U STV? Hold out against its competitors? Look out for my full review of the Panasonic TV, 65 Z 95 A P on cnet.com.
