PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can play the game The Plucky Squire now, the same day the game is released. You can join PlayStation Plus Extra for $15 a month or Premium for $18 a month.

In this action-adventure game, you play as the titular plucky squire, Jot, after he gets thrown out of his own storybook by the wicked Humgrump -- how rude! Jot has to fight his way through two- and three-dimensional environments to get back into his own story and restore the book's happy ending.

Gameplay for The Plucky Squire makes the game look like a combination of Zelda and Mario games. There are top-down, side-scrolling and 3D environments full of enemies, but with your wits and trusty sword, nothing can stand in your way.

All Possible Futures, The Plucky Squire's developer, announced the game in 2022. The developer was founded by James Turner, former Pokemon artist, and Jonathan Biddle, the creator of Swords of Ditto: Mormo's Curse.

PlayStation Plus is Sony's version of Xbox Game Pass, and it offers subscribers a large and constantly expanding library of games. The service also recently added games, like Night in the Woods, the PlayStation 2 cult hit Mister Mosquito and other titles.
