Premier League starlet is called up by England AND Portugal Under 18s

The prospect has bizarrely been called up by both England and Portugal at Under-18 level.

England Under-18s are eager for him to be involved in a tournament in Marbella, with the young Lions to take on Sweden next Friday before then facing either Ukraine or the Netherlands.

Portugal want the player to be involved in their friendly against Turkey next Thursday instead.

The youngster is eligible to play for both nations and it remains to be seen who he will choose to represent.

Wolves youngster Mateus Mane has previously played for England Under-18s and Portugal Under-17s.

As reported by The Sun, the forward is eligible to be called up by both nations as Under-18s is a non-UEFA age group.

Mane was born in Portugal in September 2007 and played for FC Barreirense's academy before joining Rochdale in 2016. He made the switch to Wolves this year.

So far this season Mane has scored twice and provided two assists across three appearances for Wolves Under-18s.

He doesn't  have to make a concrete decision yet on which nation he will represent at senior level should the opportunity arise.
