PSG star will MISS Champions League clash with Arsenal after argument

Ousmane Dembele - who previously joined Barcelona for £135m in 2017 before leaving for a cut-price fee - has become an integral part of PSG's squad under manager Luis Enrique.

Dembele played a pivotal role in the club's run to last season's Champions League semi-final and has started four of the six opening matches of the new Ligue 1 season.

The 26-year-old started on the wing in PSG's 3-1 weekend win over Stade Rennais where he insisted the team's opening goal before being substituted in the 82nd minute.

However, the player has now been reprimanded by PSG's coaching team after becoming involved in a heated argument with Enrique following the match, as reported by FFF.

A top star has been left out of Paris Saint-Germain's squad to face Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday

The nature of the aggravated exchange has resulted in Enrique dropping Dembele for PSG's trip to the Emirates in a huge show of authority from the Spaniard.

Dembele won't travel with the team to England and will instead remain at home in Paris as he sits out the huge European encounter after a display of poor behaviour.

It is yet to be seen whether the winger will be recalled by Enrique for the weekend visit to Nice as PSG attempt to keep their unbeaten start to the new French top-flight season going.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be relieved to hear one of PSG's strongest players won't feature as Mikel Arteta's side attempt to secure a first Champions League win after drawing against Atalanta in their opening match.

PSG have started the new season strongly after losing Kylian Mbappe in the summer as the France captain decided against extending his contract and instead joined Real Madrid.

However, improvements made by Monaco and Marseille are set to make this an even more competitive league season as PSG balance league ambitions with success in Europe.

The club are attempting to develop young players with potential in opposition to their previous blockbuster recruitment and are dreaming of another successful Champions League run.
