Rodri's eye-catching rating in EA Sports FC 25 is leaked online

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has made history with his EA Sports FC 25 rating which has been leaked online.

While the fans are eagerly awaiting the release of their beloved football simulator, an X (formerly Twitter) user named @DonkTrading has leaked the top 50 highest-rated players in the game.

Fans were quick to spot that Rodri has topped the rankings, as he has been given the same rating as Real Madrid newcomer Kylian Mbappe, Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Barcelona women's team star Aitana Bonmati.

After a highly successful season with Manchester City, which included an unprecedented fourth consecutive title, Rodri was a pivotal character in leading his national team to a historic victory at the European Championship.

As a result, he is now considered one of the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or, accompanied by the likes of Vinicius Jnr, Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland.

Man City and Spain midfielder Rodri topped the EA Sports FC 25 rankings with a 91 rating

The 28-year-old enjoyed a successful season, winning the Premier League and Euro 2024

Rodri has jumped from 89 to a 91 rating on the EA Sports FC 25 game, putting him ahead of Real Madrid stars Vinicius and Bellingham, and tied with his Man City team-mate Haaland.

The Spaniard saw all of his six main stats increase compared to the previous edition, with the 'pace' characteristic undergoing the most influential change, from 58 to 66.

While speed was never his strongest skill, other stats reveal him to be one of the best players in the game: 80 shooting, 86 passing, 84 dribbling, 87 defending and 85 physical abilities.

Notably, Rodri becomes the first central defensive midfielder to be the highest-rated player in the history of EA Sports game series.

The dominance of Man City is evident, with six other players featuring in the top 50, such as Kevin de Bruyne, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan.

De Bruyne received a one-point downgrade compared to the previous campaign, while his speed stats suffered the most, yet his passing characteristics remained at a 94 rating.

The cover star for EA Sports FC 25, Jude Bellingham, received a 90 rating and saw his position changed to CAM (Central Attacking Midfielder).

Previously, it was revealed that the Englishman would adorn the cover for the standard game edition with his iconic celebratory pose.
