Snow Patrol star reveals why he was nervous to go on Soccer AM

Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody has revealed why he was 'terrified' when he first went on Soccer AM.

Lightbody joined Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain on the latest episode of the Soccer A-Z podcast to discuss his first-ever appearance on the hit TV show.

The musician insisted he was a huge fan of Soccer AM, which ran from 1994 to 2023, but it all changed when he was involved in the show himself.

Lightbody admitted that he was more nervous about going on Soccer AM than playing in front of thousands of fans at music festivals.

His revelation drew laughter from the Soccer A-Z crew, with Lovejoy and Chamberlain previously completely unaware that Lightbody had been so scared to go on the show.
