Southampton fan Tom Kane wins £1 million jackpot on Super 6!

Southampton football fan Tom Kane won the prize of a lifetime across Gameweek 3 of the 2024-25 Premier League season - correctly predicting six scores to win £1 million on Sky's Super 6.

Kane's prediction surrounding Bournemouth's 3-2 victory was particularly dramatic, as the Cherries overcame a 2-0 deficit to secure the winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

The other results to go Kane's way on the Saturday were Aston Villa's 2-1 triumph over recently promoted club Leicester City, Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw with Wolves at City Ground, and Manchester City's 3-1 thumping of West Ham that included an Erling Haaland hat-trick.

With four games correctly predicted following Saturday's fixtures - Kane only needed a 2-1 Newcastle victory and a 3-0 Liverpool win to earn himself a cool £1 million.

That ended up being the case, with Alexander Isak's goal in the 78th minute helping the Magpies secure a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at home - while Luis Diaz's brace and another goal to Mohamed Salah saw the Reds batter Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

His prize didn't end there, as he was invited to meet footballing royalty on the set of the Stick to Football podcast.

'It was great to have Tom down at the studio with us after he won the first ever £1 million Super 6 jackpot,' former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said.

'We have been playing Super 6 on here for a while and it really isn't easy to get all six scores, so fair play to him. His predictions were incredible.

'I can't imagine how he was feeling when he went for a walk during the second half at Old Trafford. Liverpool could have easily made it four or five, maybe it was just meant to be,' Carragher said in reference to Liverpool's 3-0 win over Man United'.
