If you have an Amazon Prime membership, you have access to Prime Video and the ability to explore fantasy worlds without leaving your living room couch. Whether it's the land of Thra from The Dark Crystal or The Lord of the Rings' Middle-earth, some sumptuous feats of imagination are waiting in the streamer's library.

Standalone Prime Video is also available through a $9 monthly subscription, and it costs $3 extra to remove ads. If you need a movie, here are some fantastic fantasy finds.

Paramount Pictures

Want a film that pairs Chris Pine with an epic heist? With a star-studded cast, plenty of humor and easter eggs for audiences familiar with the classic tabletop roleplaying game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a great time.

Universal Pictures

In Jim Henson's iconic dark fantasy film, a young Gelfling named Jen -- seemingly the last of his kind -- must go on a harrowing quest to save the world from the villainous (and unfortunate-looking) Skeksis. The movie features animatronic puppets, but no human characters.

A24

The Green Knight is an A24 film starring Dev Patel, which could be all the information you need if you like the entertainment company or the Oscar-nominated actor. Patel plays King Arthur's nephew, Sir Gawain, on a creepy and frequently bleak quest to slay the titular mythical foe.

New Line Cinema

Like all things Lord of the Rings? Not only does Prime Video carry Peter Jackson's original film trilogy -- including the Oscar-best-picture-winning The Return of the King -- but you can binge all three Hobbit flicks, too. The anime prequel The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will premiere in theaters in a few months, but if you have your mind on existing movies, all you have to do is load up the streaming service.

Lucasfilm

Puppets also steal the show in the cult classic Jim Henson film Labyrinth. A teenage girl named Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) faces goblins, their king (David Bowie) and a maze as she tries to rescue her baby stepbrother. Both Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal count as family fare, though Labyrinth will probably inspire fewer nightmares.
