Amazon's October Prime Day event is over now, but there are still a few remaining deals on their site. This includes discounts on Amazon's own devices, such as everything from Ring doorbells and cameras to Fire TVs and Echos, these Amazon device deals run the gamut. Note that many discounts are exclusive to those with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $139 per year (it's also available as a free 30-day trial). The two-day event includes limited-time discounts across a diverse range of categories, including laptops, fitness trackers, kitchen appliances and everything in between. After Amazon Prime Day, is it still a good time to buy Echo, Kindle and Fire TV devices?

Yes. Amazon withholds its biggest price cuts for its Prime events and offers them exclusively to its Prime members. During events of years past, we've seen record-low pricing on everything from Echo smart speakers and Fire tablets to Fire TV Sticks, Ring and Blink security devices, Kindle e-readers and so much more. Some of these deals often stick around for a few days, allowing you to continue saving on items you didn't get a chance to buy during Amazon Prime Day.

How do October Prime Day TV deals compare to Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?

For the last few years, October Prime Day -- or Prime Big Deal Days, as it's officially known -- basically kicks off the fall shopping season that culminates with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Because this is an Amazon event, if you're specifically looking to invest in its devices, now is probably a good time to buy. If you wait until Black Friday you are probably going to see plenty of deals on smart home devices from multiple brands. Black Friday sales tend to be extremely limited in both time and supply. If you've been looking to upgrade your home with Amazon devices and you see something you like that is within your budget, go ahead and pick it up during the Prime Big Deal Days sale to avoid the November rush. Prime Day deals sometimes linger, which means you might still find what you want even though the official sales are now over.
