For the last few years, October Prime Day -- or Prime Big Deal Days, as it's officially known -- basically kicks off the fall shopping season that culminates with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Because this is an Amazon event, if you're specifically looking to invest in its devices, now is probably a good time to buy. If you wait until Black Friday you are probably going to see plenty of deals on smart home devices from multiple brands. Black Friday sales tend to be extremely limited in both time and supply. If you've been looking to upgrade your home with Amazon devices and you see something you like that is within your budget, go ahead and pick it up during the Prime Big Deal Days sale to avoid the November rush. Prime Day deals sometimes linger, which means you might still find what you want even though the official sales are now over.
